Ten Laws of Health 1. Posture is the first health rule. It promotes mental and moral benefits: grace, dignity, self-possession,courage.
2. The air you breathe is as important as the food you eat. Vocal culture and respiration are next to posture in importance.
3. Sunshine is a healer (but be temperate). Start sunbathing with three minutes a day and add a minute each day until you reach 15 minutes, then stop.
4. Rest is also one of the true remedies.
5. Exercise every day out of doors and work up a sweat at least for an hour.
6. Diet should be as simple as possible.
7. Water: Drink 8 glasses of pure, soft water every day. Drinking with meals delays digestion.
8. Cleanliness: The value of the daily bath in promoting health and in stimulating mental-action, should be emphasized. Relieves congestion.
9. Trust in Divine Power is the most important rule of health for our entire being. Act as if your heavenly father can be trusted.
10. Be temperate in everything you do. By abstaining from those substances and actions which are harmful and using moderately and carefully those which are good.
Ten Laws of Diet and Eating:
1. Do not eat unless hungry. Hunger is not the same as appetite. If you are not truly hungry, skip the meal.
2. Have regular hours for meals. It is of vital importance.
3. Do not eat more than two meals a day. Eat two or three simple kinds of things at each meal, four at the most.
4. Overeating clogs the living machine. Vital force is used to take care of the food. Excess food decays and becomes a putrefied mass.
5. Eat slowly, chewing your food well. It's not so much what you eat as how well it is assimilated. Eat only enough to satisfy hunger.
6. Be relaxed and eat with praise for God's blessings. Be happy and contented. Its like medicine. It electrifies the body.The blood runs sluggish under depression.
7. Eat olives, properly cured, with every meal, if possible.
8. Eat largely of fresh fruit in season. Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables, directly from the tree and the garden are of great value. Fruit is the best food. Apples are the best fruit.
9. Have a fruit a day once a week, or a juice a day. This does as much, sometimes, as a fast.
10. Fast at least one 24-hour period a week. This helps the body also to cleanse and refresh itself.
